Resistivity of Copper

The following spreadsheet is used for calculating the DC resistance of a copper trace. You can calculate with 1/2 ounce, 1 ounce or 2 ounce copper weight. Enter the known average DC current, expected width and length in column B. The spreadsheet will output the voltage drop in column D. If you want to know the limits on current with a given copper weight, size and temperature then check with IPC recomendations 275 or 2220. IPC has very nice charts and graphs to illustrate current and voltage limits.

Here is a classic Lattice Diagram or what is also known as a Bergeron Plot in an Excel spreadsheet.  This spreadsheet can easily graph and display the ringing effect caused by poorly terminated transmission lines.  Download it and change the source and load impedances to get the waveforms that occur at both the driver side and load side of the Transmission line.  There are 2 waveforms on the same graph.

Try this sinxx ( sinx/x ) Excel spreadsheet. There are 3 popular waveforms in this one.  Sinx/x is used to calculate bandwidth of digital waveforms given signal rise times, frequencies and data rates.
